Leona is here! My Marketplace find, an old Souldoll Zenith Paratiisi hailing from the far, far 2013 (or 2012). I really love the old Zenith double body's posing and I'll make a little writeup about it as soon as I get a proper wig for her - the ones I have don't fit too well. She's a wonderful doll and quite different than the others. I plan on styling her fantasy, somewhat vampiresque. She's definitely more of a project doll and I'll need to really pick out her outfit, and most likely get her a sword, too.
I took only a few rather messy pictures, but she's lovely. She is so grumpy and has a regal air about her. Pearls of Danube made her makeup and it's stunning.
I am going to take a different direction with this blog and make it more active. So far the journal and archive have been quite dry and I want to fix that. I am mirroring the doll profiles to this site instead of linking to DOA, otherwise I feel there isn't much of a point. Update soon!
Yujin is not at home yet, but in the meantime I bought a long-coveted Souldoll Paratiisi off the DOA Marketplace. This is my first second-hand doll and I'm very excited to have her home soon!
I had a brief meetup with Lackadaisicalangels while she was visiting the city!
I have placed an order for my third doll, a Dollstown Yujin on the 18 girl body. I thought I wouldn't manage three dolls by 2024 and I'm glad I did. Sculptor An Jonghak gave me an estimate for January and I'm thrilled. I have wanted a "tall girl" since I joined the hobby in late 2023, and I've been enamored with Dollstown from the very start.
Arrival of Caroline! She came home safe and well-packed. Amazing doll and she poses so well!
Caroline shipped today! Just a bit over one month. I was expecting to see her in 6 months at the earliest, so this was a big surprise.
A new doll is now in the works! She's a Coral Reef Caroline. It's going to be a long wait.
Mina got a major upgrade with a beautiful alpaca wig gifted to me for my birthday by Lackadaisicalangels! It's so beautiful! She had the thought of matching her eyebrows and lashes perfectly, this is without a doubt her final look. She looks perfect!
After this one wig, I think I'll stick with natural fibers from now on, unless I'll need a very straight wig (I think synthetic does that best). The fibers are much thinner so they look "in scale" and they're much softer and more pleasant than synthetic. I thought eyes made the most difference and didn't think much of wigs, but I definitely changed my mind about that.
Finally, I received Mina (Maskcat Yael 2.0), my first BJD. I made a post about her arrival on Den of Angels.
Opened this little website. I decided to make it focused on ball-jointed dolls instead of including artwork and other hobbies.
Gained access to Den of Angels. My doll was very close to completion at this point!
I placed my order at Maskcat.
